Hi ! I'm Maureen Allanic,

I am a professional in AI and emerging technology at the European Space Agency, and I'm very passionate and dedicated to my work. I am a creative problem-solver with a passion for empowering space engineers to reach new heights. With a Master's degree in IT management and over 5 years of experience in the tech industry, I leverage my expertise to deliver innovative solutions that shape the future of space exploration in Europe. I enjoy every step of the design process, from discussion and collaboration to concept and execution, but I find the most satisfaction in seeing the finished product do everything for you that it was created to do.

    I specialize in identifying stakeholder needs, translating them into actionable requirements for AI/ML solutions. I act as a product owner for innovative solutions, overseeing essential capabilities such as data management, model training, and monitoring.

    Identify customers and stakeholders for the AI & Emerging Technology Platform and elicit their requirements, constraints and expectations.
    • Act as a product owner for the AI/ML end-to-end platform including capabilities like data management, data preparation, interactive exploration, managed model training, model management, model monitoring, batch inference, model serving etc.
    • Understand, review and, if necessary, support in the definition of policies to govern the consumption of AI/ML and Emerging Technologies at ESA.

    Previous job from 2020 to 2022 - Young Graduate Trainee in Knowledge Management at the European Space Agency

    Support to space exploration projects (ISS Operations, ORION, I-HAB, ESPRIT, ExoMars, ERO MSR...) on knowledge management, personal data protection, security and quality management. Contribution to the review and continuous improvement of internal processes and methods within the Directorate.

It included: SAP, JAVA, AI&ML, Deep learning, NPL, DevOps, ITIL framework, Agile Methodologies (Raizen, Sigma, Design thinking…), cybersecurity, Scrum methodologies…

    As part of projects for one of the world leaders in transport, work as an IT junior consultant. I was directly integrated into the international project team, in clientele, and worked closely with the technical integration team.     As a co-founder of Ouispeak while still a student, I played a pivotal role in developing solutions to enhance international communication. Our services cater to a diverse clientele, including renowned brands like BHV Marais, Longchamp, Cartier, Galeries Lafayette... This entrepreneurial experience has honed my skills in innovation and client engagement.

    OUispeak solutions is a start-up that I co-created in 2017 with 2 other associates besides my study. The company provides various services to ease international communication. It is specialized in videoconferencing interpreters service We deployed our solutions to clients in the luxury and tourism markets. To name some of them: BHV MARAIS, Longchamp, Cartier, Galeries Lafayette, Rolex, Nice Airport, Carrousel du LOUVRE or Visit Paris Region at CDG airport.
